MAINTENANCE: The most important element of all!

1) Ongoing weeding and invasive plant removal;

2) Ability and plan to water;

3) Water features are kept clean and functioning; 

4) Plant edits, e.g. thinning, transplanting, trimming, adding additional plants;

5) Man-made structures are kept clean and in good repair;

6) Signs are kept clean, easy to see; in good repair and legible;

7) Trash and dog waste are picked up and disposed of;

8) Walkways are kept clear and easy to navigate;

9) A plan for every season—

And, generally, attention to the "cues to care" that communicate to the public that the PRISM space is loved, cared for and valued by and for it's three constituencies: people, native plants and wildlife/pollinators.
